Faith Church
Worship is at the heart of the Christian life and at the heart of our mission as a university. Chapel plays a crucial role in forming us into a community that worships God and, thus, to offer all that we know and do as means of glorifying him.
There are two separate chapel programs at FCUTS : one for FCUTS and the other for FCUTS Graduate School.
Students, faculty, and staff together for corporate worship every Tuesday (11:00 AM –11:50 AM) in the A. T. Faith Chapel. Chapel is optional but encouraged for graduate students. A team of gifted student leaders plan and lead diverse expressions of worship designed to, above all, give glory to God.
The preaching of the Word is a prominent part of chapel. FCUTS is blessed to have a wide variety of speakers from among FCUTS faculty, as well as highly respected leaders from around the world. Chapel is a place of rest as students pause in the midst of busy schedules to be reminded of God’s greatness and grace.
Chapel is also a place of community building, as students and faculty share times of prayer and testimony together. All students are encouraged to make chapel an integral part of their theological training.
Day of Prayer
Once every semester, classes are suspended for a Day of Prayer. The purpose of this day is to make room for more sustained prayer as well as times of personal and corporate reflection. The morning is spent in creative, concerted prayer together in the chapel. In the afternoons, advisor/advisee groups continue in prayer, fellowship, and other activities.
